This article is very one sided local bias acting like the bronze sculpture bizarrely placed in a crosswalk is perfect and everyone should be fine. Weird none see how Dr. Rumford’s pharmacy is functioning as a barely open street drug addiction clinic. Or that a giant home improvement business devalues the 1963 effort. This article overlooks circumstances are so horrible that 2017 Section 8 had to made a special protected class. What is even more alarming questioning Art is that no one pieced in the wall of Black Love chalk less than three blocks away.
I am a MA degree holding Section 8 tenant trying to improve to amplify not only my circumstances but every person around me. Death deadly dead on somebody better start looking because the sacred is the mundane casually lost as disregarded. I am not hiding every act is performed openly unafraid. If these small gestures curtail people being able to think is so painful pretty please arrest me. Can anyone fathom already, I can’t breathe.
BTW defacement cannot be easily removed it is sad to see how terms are weighted as such a blight when black people’s actual living circumstances outside generational wealth are abysmal.
